Details: A food name search on "GIN" would locate not only "GIN," but also "GINGER" and "GINGERBREAD." As a general rule, the shorter the search string you use, the more hits you will produce. A food name search on "FROZEN ONION RINGS" will locate all food names containing all three words in any sequence . In other words, you will locate "ONION RINGS, FROZEN" if it exists. NutriBase will ignore any commas you use in your search string. If you include an "S" at the end of a word (i.e., "BEANS"), NutriBase will drop the trailing "S" and automatically locate all entries containing the word "BEAN." If you include an "IES" at the end of a word (i.e., "GRAVIES"), NutriBase will search for that string and will not locate the singular form of the word (in our example, "GRAVY"). When in doubt, just drop the last few letters (a search on "GRAV" will locate both "GRAVY" and "GRAVIES" if they exist.) If only one category contains the string you are looking for, NutriBase will automatically take you into that category and display the data n the Search Results Screen.
